I build products, mostly mobile and web, with a focus on healthcare and education. I love Angular, Ionic and community building. I have spoken on all 6 continents. Outside work, I love martial arts, travelling and learning about cultures, and Avatar is the best movie of all time.

I founded Haibrid, a London mobile studio, in 2015. At MindLife UK, which I first joined in 2016, I work on software for NHS mental-health services. I wrote Ionic Framework By Example for Packt and have taught on DataCamp and LinkedIn Learning. I build with TypeScript, Angular, Ionic and NestJS, with Claude Code at the centre of my workflow.
Sani Yusuf is the founder of Haibrid, a London mobile studio. He is also AI Engineering Lead at MindLife UK. He built software there for NHS mental-health services from 2016 to 2025 and has led MindLife's AI engineering since June 2026. He is a Packt author, a DataCamp and LinkedIn Learning instructor, an international conference speaker and the creator of BeltStripe, Advocad and Kratu.
Sani Yusuf is AI Engineering Lead at MindLife UK, a digital-therapeutics company. He first joined MindLife in September 2016 and worked there until November 2025, developing AI-Leap, the platform MindLife uses to build digital mental-health treatments, and software for NHS clinical trials. He led the implementation of the software for the StratCare trial, published in JAMA Psychiatry with 951 patients, and implemented AiOracle, a progress-feedback tool for therapists. Since June 2026, as AI Engineering Lead, he leads MindLife's adoption of AI in engineering, with Claude Code central to the workflow.
He wrote Ionic Framework By Example (Packt, 2016), whose chapters also appear in two Packt Learning Paths. He has made courses on Ionic and MongoDB Cloud for LinkedIn Learning. At DataCamp he is listed as co-instructor of Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming in Java and revamped Introduction to Python for Developers; the DataCamp courses he worked on have more than 190,000 enrolments. He has also trained developers in Angular and Ionic for Oasis Digital Solutions, mentored for OpenClassrooms and led developer relations for the Fleksy keyboard SDK.
Since 2015 he has made 36 appearances at 24 conferences and given talks in 23 countries on six continents, at events including ng-conf, AngularConnect, AngularUP, ngVikings, ComponentsConf, Voxxed Days Zurich and WeAreDevelopers. His most recent talk, at NG Kenya '26 in Nairobi, showed how AI coding agents work with Angular. He was a Google Developer Expert for Angular from 2017 to 2021 and a Microsoft MVP in 2022, is an Ionic Developer Expert, and co-founded the Ionic UK meetup.
He also builds his own products: BeltStripe, software for martial-arts academies that grew out of the paper attendance cards at the Jiu-Jitsu academy where he trained; Advocad, which measures the reach of developer-advocacy work; and Kratu, an offline, voice-first literacy tutor for children, made for the Nigerian context. Earlier he worked on the Sworkit and Perkbox mobile apps and founded Haibrid, a London mobile studio.
He graduated from Brunel University London in 2014 with a degree in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering), winning the Made in Brunel Data Innovation Prize. He speaks English and Hausa, took up Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in London and was promoted to blue belt in September 2024, and has visited 52 countries.
