BeltStripe runs martial-arts academies: memberships and direct-debit billing through Stripe, a front-desk sign-in, messaging by email, SMS and push, and belt and stripe grading with digitally verified certificates. I created it in 2021 and built it end to end: five apps (admin, instructor, student, front desk and internal tools) on one NestJS API.

Advocad measures developer-advocacy reach: paste a link to a talk, video, post or podcast and it pulls the platform's real numbers into one dashboard, adding a dated snapshot on every refresh so each item builds a growth curve. I built it as the tool I wanted after a decade of talks, videos and courses, and launched it on Product Hunt on 7 July 2026.

Kratu is an offline, voice-first tutor for children aged 6-10, made for the Nigerian context, on low-cost Android tablets shared at a learning centre. Laila, a cartoon bird, speaks to the child (lessons start in Hausa) and listens: speech recognition, face login and speaker recognition all run on the tablet with no internet, and no photo of a child is ever stored. I founded it and built the curriculum, content pipeline, on-device AI and app myself, working with Claude Code.

Ride On Time gave live countdown times for London buses and stops on Windows Phone, with nearby stops from the phone's location and search with suggestions. I built it myself, and it won the Microsoft Windows Phone Incentives programme UK in 2012. Windows Phone has since been discontinued.

Traffic Tweet brought live London traffic updates to Windows Phone. I built it myself; my 2013 site is the only record of it, and it notes recognition in the Windows Phone rewards programme.

Apps and platforms I built or worked on for the companies I worked with.
Built for Sworkit (Nexercise) · Mobile Consultant · 2015-2016
Sworkit is a personalised video-workout app for iOS and Android, built with Ionic. I joined as a mobile consultant around its Shark Tank appearance and built in-app purchase for the new Sworkit Pro, adverts in Sworkit Lite and the packaging of its mini apps. The app predates my work there.
Built for Perkbox (formerly Huddlebuy) · Lead Mobile Consultant · 2013-2015
Perkbox (then Huddlebuy) gives employees perks and discounts. I led the mobile team of four that built its iOS and Android apps with Ionic, Angular and Cordova, and created a framework for white-label versions for new clients, such as Worldpay, without rebuilding from the ground up. Within 12 months the Perkbox and Worldpay apps passed 100,000 combined downloads with a 4.6 average rating.

Built for UCC Coffee UK & Ireland · AI Product Engineer · 2025-2026
Coffee Works is UCC Coffee's offline-first field app: field teams manage coffee-machine sites and checks, picking their operating company, country and language after login. I led an AI-first migration with Claude Code from a legacy Cordova build to the latest Ionic and Capacitor, added a PWA on Firebase to ease roll-out across countries, and moved the API from PHP CodeIgniter to NestJS.
Built for Hospitable.com · Senior Front-End Product Engineer; primary front-end engineer for the app · 2026
Hospitable Tasks is the task app of Hospitable, the short-term-rental management software: an Angular PWA that teams use on their phones. As the primary front-end engineer, I integrated push notifications with OneSignal and built custom message queuing with Pusher.
Funzing is a marketplace for hosting and attending local experiences such as supper clubs, tours, workshops and talks. I built its Android app for Funzing UK as a consultant. The app is no longer listed in the stores.

AI-Leap is MindLife's platform for turning face-to-face therapy protocols into digital treatments without bespoke coding for each one. It is three connected apps: an admin panel with the content editor, a therapist app and a patient app for phones, tablets and computers.I led its creation and engineering, including the content management system where courses are built from sessions, modules and pages. Live group therapy runs as video calls inside the apps, powered by Whereby. An Innovate UK-funded project upgraded it to deliver UpLift-X's remote group therapy.

StratCare recommends low- or high-intensity therapy at a patient's first assessment, from a machine-learning score of how complex the case is. I led the implementation of the trial software with the NHS and the University of Sheffield. In the trial (951 patients, 4 NHS services), reliable improvement in depression was 52.3% against 45.1%.
Built for MindLife UK · Implemented the AiOracle system · 2021-present
AiOracle gives therapists progress feedback: it compares a patient's scores with thousands of similar past patients and flags those not on track. I implemented the AiOracle system, whose model was built and tested on 77,371 patient records from 10 NHS trusts.

UpLift-X delivers live online group therapy based on the Unified Protocol, with video sessions and a personal skills app for each participant. I oversee the trial software for its NHS trial, which plans to enrol about 660 patients across 2 NHS trusts.

AI-Leap is MindLife's platform for turning face-to-face therapy protocols into digital treatments without bespoke coding for each one. I led its creation and engineering from 2016. It is three connected apps on one API: an admin panel, a therapist app and a patient app.
The admin panel is the content management system, and I led its development. Clinical and content teams build a course out of sessions, and each session out of modules. A module is made in a step-by-step wizard, then written page by page in a block editor: blocks are added from a panel, dragged into order, and whole modules can be imported into another page. Journals, life practices, themes, graphs and results tables are set per course, and a course is published or archived from the same place. The panel also manages organisations, therapists, patients, groups and notifications.
Therapists use their own app to create groups, assign a course to each group, enrol patients, follow their progress and message them. Patients get the course in the patient app on a phone, tablet or computer: they work through their modules, keep a journal, do skill check-ins and life practices, and join live sessions. The course's language setting switches the patient app's language and text direction.
Live sessions are video calls powered by Whereby and built into the apps. An admin adds a session to a course, or a therapist creates one for a group and schedules it. Patients see a banner when it is live or about to start, and the therapist and the group join the call inside the app, with no separate meeting link. Attendance is saved to each patient's record. I oversaw MindLife's first digital mental-health trial with live group therapy on this integration, serving hundreds of patients across multiple NHS trusts.
Under the hood it is one monorepo of Angular apps with a NestJS API on MongoDB, covered by end-to-end tests that drive the editor, the courses and the live sessions.
